Honestly, I'm not sure why this was on my NetFlix list. I had spent a couple of months not maintaining it, and when I returned (no pun intended) to see what was next, I saw this. It has Sarah Michelle Geller, so I said, "Eh, why not?"
Unfortunately, by the end, I could answer that question. The why not is the fact that this is one of those movies that tries too hard to be clever. Not clever like Momento, but rather clever like Stay. The whole movie was spent wondering what the hell was going on, rather than wondering why it was happening. Sarah spends the whole movie being stalked by various men and fending them off without knowing why they were attacking in the first place. The effect was to make you feel like she was living someone else's life. But it didn't work.
Finally, at the end of the movie we learn the why. But instead of feeling a sense of "Oh, I get it!" I was left with an "Ummmm..... okay".
The acting was pretty good, and there was at least some resolution at the end, so I won't give it a ranking of Stay, but I do give it a D. Sorry Sarah.
Ranking: D

You may be asking...
..."what happened to you last week Von? You were on such a roll with the posts." You didn't want me to post last week, trust me. It would have been me whining about my job issues, and that's no fun. I actually almosted posted twice and was disgusted by my own boo-hoo-ing.
I will try to do a better job this week.

Friday Post
I had to get a post in today because I can't lose to J-Diggy :)
Today sucked. Our lead programmer, the only one who knows everything about the program we support, resigned. This is very bad. Not only will we be VERY short handed now, but there is no documentation on the program. So we have no one to refer to when the fit hits the shan.
The scary thing is that the general manager has known this might happen, but didn't do anything to prepare or prevent it. I don't think he has an idea of just how much work we have do on a day to day basis.
I've been singing "It's the end of the world as we know it" by REM all day :)
